For my fourth thesis assignment, I created a documentary film on what life is like in arranged marriages. I interviewed my parents, who had an arranged marriage in 2003. I had them address the topics of familial resentment, cultural differences, and misconsepctions of arranged marriages. I also discussed how arranged marriages look in different cultures and how other people felt in arranged marriages while being a part of a different culture. In doing this, I hoped to highlight the differences in arranged marriages in terms of culture and to show that there are successful marriages that are just like a traditional marriage.
